1 The procedure below shows how to compress and decompress folders and files

 2  If not too large, Users can send them email.  

Size Limits for Attachments

 3 The size limit for attachments to an email depends on software of the e-mail sender.

 4 Some software has a size limit for attachments of 5 or 10 MB. 

 5 If the folder size rates as too large to email, Senders can split it into two or more folders – possibly with compression  –  and mail each folder separately.

 8 Users can combine several files into a single compressed folder, making it easier to share a group of files, since Users need only to attach one folder to an e­mail message instead of several files.

 Procedure

9. Locate the compressed folder that contains the files desired to extract.  

10   Do one of the following:

(a) To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag <mshelp://windows/?id=a02f310e-c1c4-4bc9-8706-4d0aadd51b6d>  the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location.

(b) To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

11.  Locate the file or folder that you want to compress.

12.  Right-click the file or folder, point to Send To, and then click the Compressed (zipped) Folder.  A new compressed folder is created. To rename it,right-click the folder, click Rename, and then type the new name.

How to scan documents (70)

Procedure

1. Go to Navigator and click to open.

2. Click the Scan/Import icon on the top left…

3. Click photo/documents situated about the middle of the page.  This action should open a three step page. However nothing happens if any step clicked.

Go to the Printer.

4. Push the Scan button in the middle row and a new window shows a menu of document and photo.

Dashboard Options

1. The Dashboard shows “Forms” followed underneath by Edit Forms, New Forms, Entries, Settings, Import/Export, and Updates.

2. A click on Forms and a page called Edit Forms appears. Next to the Edit Forms a box in grey exists called – Add New

3. The Edit Form page shows a list of all the existing forms.

4. Move the cursor to the name of a form and the following appears in blue – Edit, Preview, Entries, Notification, Duplicate, and Delete.

How to create a PDF file (61)

 

 

1. Highlight a set of notes .

 

2. Click Open  (bottom right).

 

3. Click “File” (top left).  A menu opens .

 

4. Click “Save as” and …….

 

5. A panel at the bottom has “File Name” and the name of the notes in the the panel on the right.

 

6. The next panel underneath has the words on the left of the panel – “Save as type”

And a menu arrow on the right of the panel.

 

7. Use the arrow to move down the menu until “PDF” appears.

 

8. Highlight “PDF” and the page shows optomise at the bottom.

 

9. Choose the middle option that states “Bitmap textwhen … may not be embedded.

 

10. Click “OK” at the bottom

 

11. Click “Save”.

 

12. Click file and go to the name of the material it should have the name of the notes with a pdf icon on the left of the notes.

How to add “Return to top of Page” Instruction to a Post (47)

1. Open Edit and copy the following formula –  <a href=”#content” title=”Return to Top of Page”>Return to top of page</a>

2. Change the page view from Visual to HTML

3. Move cursor to the bottom of the page

4. Use Edit to paste the copied formula

5. The words “Return to top of page” (in blue) in the edit version appear.

5. Click “Update”

6. Click View Post

7. Go to the bottom of the post and check that the words – “Return to  top of the Page” exist.

8. Click to check that a transfer to the top of the page occurs
