2. At present (December 2011), the following have the status of Users as Editors – Lynda Edwards, Lou Geradts, Peter Gommers, and Pat Shaw.

3. Bill Morton and Ray Harman have the status of Administrator. Ray does not aim to make any entries into the site but simply act as a “standby” Administrator in case Bill Morton cannot act.

4. The Board or an Administrator could decide to add further Users. (See Procedure 3 – How to add/edit Users).

How to add, or edit, Users. (3)

1. Open a Web Site.in the Edit mode.

2. Open Dashboard.

3. Click on “Users” that exists on the menu on the left near the bottom. A page called “Users” opens. It shows all existing Users.

Add New User

4. To add a new User, contact the person involved and obtains a password that the person selects.

5. Click “Add new User “that exists on the right of “User” at the top of the page. A New User page   appears.

How to add Material to a WordPress Page/Post. (2)

1. Note – some material will not copy satisfactorily on to a page. Where this problem occurs, it will prove necessary to convert the material to a jpg form and add through the Media Library. For “page” also read “post”

2. Use “Edit” to “Copy” the relevant material.

3. Open the appropriate web site in editing mode.

4. Click “Dashboard” – on the row close to the top – immediately above the start of the page.  It opens the Dashboard page that has a menu on the left.

5. Move down the menu and Click “Pages”. It opens a list of all the pages.

How to add a JPG File (attached to an Email) to the Media Library. (14)

(Users cannot use this procedure unless they have the Smart Converter PRO software).

1. Request the Sender to send the attachment in pdf form.

2. Open the email.

3. Click the attachment icon (at the top of the page). This action need not occur if the email already shows an attachment file followed by a pdf symbol – at the bottom of the email.

4. Click the word “Download”.

5. A page appears called “Download 1 Attachment – with the name of the attachment at the top.

How to add an Image to the Media Library. (15)

1. Open a site in the editing mode.

2. Go to the Dashboard menu and go down to Media.  Click “Add New”.

3. A page called “Upload New Media “opens.  The page will open in one of two different forms – Form One – Browser Uploader or Form Two – Flash Uploader.

4. The new WordPress version (3.3) offers a faster method.  Ignore the next two forms (approaches) and go to the section called Form Three (paragraph 29).

How to add a File from the Media Library on to a Page/Post. (5)

1. Open a site in the edit mode.

2. Go to the Dashboard.

3. Click Pages. A list of pages opens. For all these instructions “pages” include “posts”

4. Scroll down the list until the page appears into which to add the file (image).

5. The words – Edit, Quick Edit, Trash, and View appear underneath the name of the page.
